Product Activation or Deactivation

If your computer is connected to the internet, you should use the "(De)Activate via internet..." button in the license pane of your Softron application. The activation process will be transparent and you won't need to use the following pages.

If your computer is NOT connected to the internet, you have to use the "(De)Activate manually..." button. For the (de)activation to be effective, you will need to send the activation and/or deactivation codes to our activation server. The activation or deactivation process will be finalized only when we have received the codes on our server.

Activate a license

After clicking on the "activate manually" button in your Softron application, you will be shown an activation "challenge". Copy and paste it and send it to out server together with your serial number. You will receive an activation reply that you will need to copy paste in your application.

Deactivate a license

After clicking on the "deactivate manually" button in your Softron application, you will be shown an "Activation" and a "Deactivation" code. Send these to our server on the following page for the deactivation process to be complete.

Troubleshooting

If you can't succeed to activate or deactivate a serial number, first check the Softron Help Center. We have a section about this that explains the possible errors with the activation and deactivation process and how to troubleshoot them. For example, if you did a manual deactivation, but forgot to write down the codes, there is an article that explains how to retrieve them.

About the dongle option

If you don't feel comfortable with the activation/deactivation process, and would like to make your life easier, you can always migrate your license to a dongle which is a USB key that you just connect to your computer and don't require any activation/deactivation. One dongle can hold up to 20 licenses, and they can be updated remotely, so you can add licenses later on.
