At IBC 2019, Softron has announced new hardware bundles which have now been divided into the S|Family (software-only) and the M|Family (software + hardware).
MovieRecorder 4 was introduced more than a year ago now, and it adds a lot of new features and improvements over MovieRecorder 3. Check out this article to know the differences between the two versions.
At the time if was released, we said that the upgrade prices were valid until June 2018. We have extended that "grace" period a little bit, but you should know that these introductory promotional prices will end on October 31st. Starting on November 1st, the upgrade prices from MovieRecorder 3 to MovieRecorder 4 will go up.
We will also discontinue the special price for the MovieRecorder 3 licenses with the pro codecs option. The same upgrade price will apply for all, whether you have a pro codecs option or not.
Here are the prices comparison:
As you can see the promotional price is a great deal, so take advantage of this terrific offer, and upgrade today. Here are the current upgrade prices.
Contact your local reseller or Softron directly if you have any questions.
These versions should already be quite stable, but we are fine tuning a few codecs performances, and some features.
Feel free to test this version and stay tuned for future releases.
We are happy to say that we have been working on macOS High Sierra since a while and there is no known issue with the latest versions of our applications. If you want to upgrade, we recommend as usual to have a backup readily available so you can revert back just in case the upgrade does not go as smoothly as it has been for us. If you do so, and you are using a serial number, remember to deactivate your serial number before booting from a backup hard drive.
If you are using a dongle, make sure to update your Softron application to the latest version available from the downloads page (the ones released after September 10th, 2017) to ensure that your dongle license will be seen.
NDI™ is exciting, right? It's even better on the Mac! Softron is adding to the excitement by implementing NDI™ in all of our playout applications. Now, thanks to NDI™, you can transfer HD and 4K video over a simple ethernet cable. No need for routers or even SDI cables anymore. All this while preserving the ease-of-use and reliability of our products.
