Softron applications use standard off the shelf Apple Macintosh computers and off the shelf Video cards from renown manufacturers such as AJA, Blackmagic and Matrox. Combining open hardware components and Softron’s powerful proven software solutions guarantees the most reliable and cost effective solutions available for professional broadcast.
On the ingest side, Softron offers it's product MovieRecorder: MovieRecorder comes in several versions, each optimized to answer to specific needs from the customer. The MXF converter completes the range of different import tools.
On the playout side, Softron Media Services has two approaches: one approach is based on it's flagship product, OnTheAir Video, the other is currently under development and is based on the client-server architecture. Like MovieRecorder, OnTheAir Video is available in different flavors in order to accommodate different requirements from users. Computer Graphics can easily be added to the play out when using OnTheAir CG, our Character Generator.
OnTheAir News is a newsroom software solution for creating and managing news bulletins for TV and web delivery.
Softron also supplies utilities and accessory products to further enhance the possibilities of it's solution and to allow for easy integration in a broadcast environment.
