Taking adavantage of the newly announced Matrox Multi, Softron has announced a TimeShift application that is designed specifically for situations requiring a time delay for broadcast, OnTheAir TimeShift uses the dual in, dual out version of the Matrox Multi cards that will ship soon.

They both record the feeds coming from the cameras and programs on to their XSAN using MovieRecorder, so their editor can start editing as soon as the service has started, and thus are able to have a quick turnaround to deliver an edited service just a few hours after the end of the service.
Pepperdine University uses MovieRecorder and OnTheAir Video in their Media Center which aims at teaching the students what a real production environment means.
