A. WHO ARE WE?
 
Softron has been providing Mac-based video and audio solutions for over 30 years. The headquarters are located Avenue Moliere, 470 - 1050 Brussels in Belgium. We also have a subsidiary in the USA, 167 Wentworth Drive , Henderson NV 89074.
 
 
B. HOW DO WE COLLECT DATA?
 
We obtain information about you:
 
We never buy mailing lists. So if you receive an email from us, it means that you were in touch with us or one of our partner/reseller. You either sent us an email, called us, activated your software, etc...
 
We will not collect your personal information when you enter your social media account in the Softron Streaming Center application. This will only be used to access your account in order to stream to it. No other information will be stored, the tokens to access this account will be encrypted, stored on your computer, and no data related to this use will be sent to us. You may want to refer to the social media account privacy policy to see what they will do with the information that you post on their platform.
 
 
C. WHAT KIND OF DATA DO WE COLLECT?
 
We may collect your name, company information, address, e-mail address, phone number, job title and function. We also keep reports of our contacts with you, as well as information about the products you have ordered from us. When you register and activate a software, we also keep the IP and MAC address of the computer that was used.
 
We may also collect information when interacting with you at trade shows or other partners events.
 
On our store, we do not store your payment information. Your payment is processed by a third-party payment processor who is a specialist of online payment and transactions.
 
 
D. HOW DO WE USE YOUR PERSONAL DATA?
 
We use it for example to:
 
We can use your information to keep you updated on our products and services through an email campaign service like Transpond. You can unsubscribe from these mailings at any time.
 
When you contact our support desk, we may ask you to send us logs. These logs only collect information about the computer that you are using, and do not collect personal information. A zip file is created and you always have access to it so you know what is sent. If you unzip it, you can see all files and info sent, remove what you would not want to send, and send us only the modified zip with your curated data.
 
For the management of our sale, purchase and partner contractual relationship – We are collecting and processing the personal data from our customers, suppliers and partners to enable us to correctly handle the agreement you entered in with us. This way we can, for example, send you an invoice or deliver products at the correct address.
 
 
E. WHO CAN ACCESS YOUR INFORMATION
 
Your personal data is not shared with third parties for marketing purposes. It won't be sold nor rented. Only Softron employees can have access to that information so they can better help you during either a sale or support process.
 
 
F. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS OF YOUR INFORMATION
 
From time to time we may transfer your personal information to our affiliates, suppliers or service providers based outside of the EEA for the purposes described in this Privacy Statement. If we do this, your personal information will continue to be subject to one or more appropriate safeguards set out in the applicable law. These might be the use of binding corporate rules in a form approved by data protection authorities, standard contractual clauses or having our suppliers sign up to an independent privacy scheme approved by regulators.
 
 
G. SECURITY OF YOUR DATA
 
When you give us personal information, we take steps to ensure that it’s treated securely. When you are on a secure page, a lock icon will appear on the bottom of web browsers such as Safari.
 
Non-sensitive details (your email address etc.) are transmitted normally over the Internet, and this can never be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of any information you transmit to us, and you do so at your own risk. Once we receive your information, we make our best effort to ensure its security on our systems. Where we have given (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of our websites, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share your password with anyone.
 
 
H. HOW CAN YOU ACCESS AND CORRECT YOUR DATA
 
We use reasonable efforts to warranty that your data is accurate, complete and current.
 
You may request access to your personal data and request that erroneous or inaccurate personal data be updated. You may also request that your personal data be deleted.
 
For any request related to the access to, update and correction of your personal information, please send us an email together with a copy of the front side of your identity card (which is mandatory to allow us for your own protection to verify your identity before implementing your request). We may decline to process requests that jeopardize the privacy of others, are extremely impractical, or would cause us to take any action that is not permissible under applicable laws. Additionally, as permitted by applicable laws, we may need to retain certain personal data for a longer period of time for record keeping purposes, such as retaining records relating to your purchases for warranty or accounting purposes. If you are not satisfied with our response or believe we are not processing your personal data in accordance with the law, you have the right to complaint to the Belgian Data Protection Authority.
